Start-up lender Bloom raises $378 million in Series A

By Elise Hansen (May 26, 2022, 8:26 p.m. EDT) — Bloom, which provides funding for digital startups, said on Thursday it had raised its own seed capital in a massive £300 million Series A round sterling ($378 million).

Bloom Group SA said the funds would help it become one of Europe’s leading financiers for digital entrepreneurs. Bloom focuses on income-based lending, but says it’s offering new options like charging customers only for the funds they use. Bloom says its offerings offer the flexibility of revolving credit but the predictability of fixed-fee and revenue-based loans.
