Spring Game Info For Every Miami Football FBS Opponent

After Georgia Tech hosts its Spring Game on March 17, the rest of the ACC begins this weekend. The Miami football team will play ACC crossover games this season against Clemson and their annual meeting with Florida State. Miami takes on Middle Tennessee State and non-conference South Mississippi.

The first of Miami’s non-conference opponents to play their spring game is this Saturday at 1 p.m. when South Mississippi face off. Southern Mississippi was 3-9 overall and 2-6 in Conference USA in 2021. The Eagles play in Miami Sept. 9 after opening in Hattiesburg against Liberty.

After Southern Mississippi played its spring game on Saturday, next weekend the majority of Miami 2022 football opponents will hold theirs. All ACC Spring games will be broadcast on the ACC Network. Clemson will start the day with their orange and white scrimmage at 1 p.m. on April 9. North Carolina is next at 3 p.m.

Florida State will host its Garnet and Gold Spring Football Game at 5 p.m. on April 9, and the Pittsburgh Blue-Gold Spring Game will air at 9 p.m. Texas A&M will also host its Maroon and White Game on April 9 which will be televised by the SEC Network with commentary from Dusty Dvoracek and Tiffany Blackmon.

Miami is one of four ACC teams with spring games on April 16. All but Wake Forest will be Miami opponents in 2022. The Hurricanes’ spring game begins at noon on the ACC network. Virginia Tech will air starting at 4 p.m., the Duke Blue and White Game will begin at 6 p.m. Another Miami opponent has its Spring Game on April 16.

Middle Tennessee State will travel to Hard Rock Stadium on September 24. The Blue Raiders will open the season at FCS James Madison on September 3, Colorado State on September 10 before their home opener on September 17 against FCS Tennessee State. Middle Tennessee State was 7-6 overall and 4-4 at CUSA last season.

The last spring game for opponents Miami will be April 23 at 4 p.m., when Virginia has its spring game. Several of Miami’s 2022 opponents have new coaches, Duke, Virginia and Virginia Tech all have freshman head coaches in their programs and overall. Mario Cristobal has at least one experience as a head coach.

Watching Miami’s football opponents’ spring games will give Hurricanes fans a chance to look ahead and see which players to watch out for this fall. With new first-year coaches on their programs, spring will give us the opportunity to see their systems in action for the first time.
